Bacchus Wine & Cheese carries more than 600 bottles of domestic and imported wines and beer plus some fantastic deli sandwiches, subs, and tortilla wraps. You can eat in the shop, at an outside table, or get anything to go. While your food is prepared, you can browse through the wine racks or select a cold drink from the refrigerator cases. Cappuccino and espresso are available too. The owners use Boar's Head meats and domestic and imported cheeses in their enormous sandwiches. There's a nice selection of gourmet foods and gifts. Ask about the weekly wine tastings during the summer. You can also order special party platters and gift baskets. Bacchus is open for lunch and dinner daily in season; call for off-season hours.

They use Thumann's Lunch Meats which contain no Nitrates, Nitrites, Gluten, MSG... I had the Turkey/Brie on Whole Wheat. The bread was nice and fresh, I really enjoyed my sandwich. The owners are very helpful and friendly.

I've been going to Bacchus for years, I believe since the year they opened and have never been dissapointed. It's a relief to have a place to get lunch meat that tastes great, Food Lion just doesn't cut it when it comes to lunch meat! Their sandwiches are also great and make a perfect addition to the picnic basket for the beach.

We've been here a couple of times to pick up things for hors d oeuvres. They have some terrific dips and nice specialty items! The cheeses and cold cuts are good.

When Bacchus opened in the Monteray Shores Plaza in the early 90's we were sooooooo pleased. Finally we had a place to get decent cheeses and cold cuts. They also had a great selection of vino but way overpriced in my opinion. You could also get great sandwiches to take out. Later they expanded and added tables so you could eat their deli sandwiches inside the store. They also have a nice selection of gourmet spices, crackers, sauces, olives, etc for that special dinner. If you stay up in the Corolla area it is worth checking out.
