My husband and I have been vacationing in OBX for more then six years now (not consecutive). The one place that is always a must is the Back Porch. Not only is the atmosphere soothing, the food is outstanding, the drink menu is extensive and the service is warm, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and the area. They have been extremely accommodating to parties large and small and the pickiest of diners (me). If you are in the mood for a quick lunch I also suggest a stop at the Back Porch Lunch Box. They have extremely tasty and fresh chicken and tuna salad on a pita, served w/ fresh sprouts. They also cater to the K-9 companion. A bowl with fresh water is always on site. Can't wait to go back!!!

This is a great little place that you don't want to miss. It may look deceiving. The restaurant is very unique with it's gourmet menu while located in a little village. Fine seafood selections and delicious desserts. Try the cheese cake if available, they are great. If you are celebrating a special occasion, you don't want to pass up this quaint lovely restaurant.
