WE stayed here back in 2005. We stayed on the soundside and the room (more like a small apartment) was clean and perfectly acceptable for our purposes. I consider it a fine choice for those wanting to stay in the Buxton area.

Our soundside apartment was very clean and comfortable. We had a gorgeous view of the sunset and it met the approval of the in-laws!
