Ocracoke locals and guests have enjoyed this casual dining restaurant since 1970. Owner and chef Ben Mugford combines Southern tradition with gourmet foods with a variety of specialties available such as crabmeat, prime rib, chicken, sandwiches, and many seafood entrees. A large variety of domestic and imported beers are available to complement your meal. They are open for lunch and dinner every day from April through mid-November.
Really a Great Place!! 10/8/2007 Reviewer: Jim H from North Shenandoah Valley, VA
All manner of seafood and prime rib cooked to perfection, consistently. We've been eating @ C-Ben's since 2000 and have NEVER been disappointed, lunch and/or dinner.
My youngest son, a chef by trade, agrees with Dad, who introduced him to C-Ben's. He says it's a tossup between C-Bens on Ocracoke and the Quarterdeck in Frisco as to which is the best restaurant on 12 South. 'nuff said!
Horrible all around... 8/11/2007 Reviewer: Jennifer from Greenville, NC
We went for dinner, because, the lot was almost empty.
The food literally had no flavor.. seafood / steak both were very bland. If you want great seafood in Ocracoke, go to Cafe Atlantic- excellant service and meals =)
Love it here 10/12/2006 Reviewer: Mary from PA

excellent place to eat 7/31/2006 Reviewer: mark casto from charleston, wv
we ate there last year for the first time and the food was great. If we drive to Ocracoke this year, we'll stop again.
Not bad 7/1/2006 Reviewer: 02bnobx from PA
Food was good, but it took a long time to get it....they only had one cook at lunchtime when we went.
Good food 4/7/2006 Reviewer: Pat Perks from Charleston, WV
I think this is my husband's favorite place to eat on the island. We usually eat scallops or the seafood platter. Talk about a lot of food! The Grandkids like it because it is neat the way they serve the soup from an old boat. The only down side is the coffee is not any good. I think it is instant.
Capt Bens 2/27/2006 Reviewer: Nick G from Oclahoma City USA
It is i think one of the best resturaunts on the outer banks
