Love Mo's!! We visit several times while on vacation and have never had a bad experience. Food is great, staff friendly and the atmosphere is tons of fun.
This place is dreadful! 1/17/2014

What a terrible restaurant! The ambiance is not friendly and the food is not even close to outer banks quality. Not sure who makes the menu or prepares the food but they need some cooking lessons. Definitely will not go again.

My wife got food poisoning there on Sunday March 17. Our vacation was ruined, and to top it off when we called Mo's to report this the owner was NOT nice about it at all. Don't ruin your vacation too. Eat somewhere else.

I dream of the wings here, they aren't the hottest but they have the best taste I've ever had. Wife loves the tuna sandwich as well, we both can't wait to come visit again.

We LOVE Hurricane Moe's Happy Hour. $2 for Wings, $2 for Shrimp, $2 for Tacos...during Happy Hour. It's good, it's filling, the staff is friendly and efficient...what more can you ask? My granddaughter CRIED when she heard it flooded during Sandy...glad to see they are about to open again. It's one of our favorite 'local' places.

It is a nice place, I would not recommend anything from the menu though. Going to the bar and relax is worth it!
Happy Hour Has Too Many Rules 7/16/2011

I eat at Mo's all the time in Kitty Hawk but have been disappointed in the way they add money to your order and come up with new rules all of the time. For example the waiter or waitress will ask if you want your taco extras and dressing with your wings. They do not tell you that a extras on your taco and dressing for wings cost more until you get your check. They will also not let you take out any of your left overs. If you do not want to have good specials just don't have them do not try to screw people out of there money. Also the signs tip your waiter or waitress like you were eating a normal entire is rude and on called for people should be aloud to tip based on how good they are
beware the tuna 9/22/2010

as a local, i hate to give a bad review, but this place deserves it! on 3 separate occasions, myself or friends ate there over a period of 6 months, and 4 people had food poisoning from the tuna! since this was not a 1 time event, i have to assume their food handling/prep/cooking is subterranean!!!

This is our first trip to the Outer Banks and we have at at this place twice. The calamari is awesome. We are planning on going again before we leave. Atmosphere is fun, and can make a great meal out of just ordering appetizers.

Hurricane Mo's moved out two years ago. New owners came in and had 2 years to use the name. Time was up this year and the name changed to Johnny Marlin. It closed down, locking the doors the day before the Alice Kelly Tournament. Hear a new owners are going in, but don't know the new name for restaurant.

If you want the same great taste of the original Hurricane Mo's go to the location in Kitty Hawk. The location in Manteo is under new ownership as of 2008.

We always make a trip to Hurricane Mo's while were at the beach but things have gone down hill .. we should've known when we walked in with a group of 12 July 4th weekend and were seated right away!! The she crab wasn't even warm, all of the kids ordered chicken tenders but after placing our orders, the waitress informed us they were out of chicken tenders!! Then my husband's broiled platter didn't come out with the other dinners... the waitress left and a few minutes later came back and said the chef burnt the first order!!!!! We really enjoyed Mo's in the past esp. for the atmosphere but can't take the chance when we're only going out a few times... we want it to be a great dinner pick!

WE HAVE EATEN AT YOUR PLACE BEFORE AND HAD VERY GOOD FOOD SO WE BOUGHT OUR BROTHER IN LAW A GIFT CERTIFIACTE FOR HIS BIRTHDAY. WE ARE VERY SORRY THAT WE DID. I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR PLACE BUT THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE. MY HUSBAND'S STEAK WAS SUPPOSED TO BE WELL DONE IF THERE HAD BEEN ANYMORE BLOOD IT WOULD STILL HAVE BEEN ALIVE. THE WAITRESS ASKED IF WE WANTED DESSERT BUT YOU ONLY HAD PLAIN CHEESE CAKE. WE WERE VERY ASHAMED TO HAVE TAKEN OUR RELATIVES TO YOUR PLACE. IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN.

Just another tourist. from OBX
People had recommended Hurricane Mo's to us so we went with high expectations, but were a bit disappointed. They were not busy at all, which was a plus, but the food was average at best (seafood platter), and the piece of fish on the platter was no more than literally a one-ounce piece of fish (size of an oreo!) Crabcake was tiny and the taste of garlic totally obliterated the taste of the crab. Scallops and shrimp were good, along with the hot bread served with the meal. Will we go back? No, sorry.
Fantastic Wings!!! 3/30/2008

They serve the best buffalo wings on the planet. From 3-6 pm daily, during happy hour, the wings are 25 cents each. They come in an order of 6 for $1.50. Get the bleu cheese dipping sauce, which is also unreal. This is my favorite place on the beach!!!

always great! only downfall was that if you want to sit on the deck to eat, you have to deal with 2nd hand smoke.

I hope this location will live up to the original Manteo Dockside restaurant. The food has always been super and they have always made room for our large party of 12+. The bisque is delicious and the steaks have always been prepared as ordered. Prices are very reasonable.
