Delicious, fresh, local seafood 1/28/2013

I admit I was totally wrong! I thought this was just some Dirty Dick's knock-off with a silly name, until my mom took us there for oysters last December. After one bite of the she-crab soup, I was a convert. Hot, delicious, creamy, not too heavy and plenty of crab with no shells! I ate a whole bowl before the oysters arrived. As or the oysters, they were plentiful and cheap. Varied in sizes, which I like, although no slough crabs this time. Oh well. Anyway, they are family owned and super-friendly, nice people. There was local memorabilia everywhere on the walls, and even pics of the family. Only drawback is that there's a limited kid's menu - no burger or anything like that, although they did have steamed broccoli. I don't think they have a grill, so you're pretty much eating steamed or fried. Oh! And the hush puppies! Real, not Sysco, and served with a delicious maple-butter sauce. Definitely give it a shot! Oysters are only served in-season (winter). But I may be getting some crabs for carryout this summer :)
