 Very bad experience! 4/13/2011

We used to make Kelly's an annual stop till the one time that we waited a very long time to be seated and I'm talking well over an hour. It was painfully clear that the hostess passed over our name on the waiting list as many customers that came after us were seated as we sat. And once seated while the entire area was empty, the maitre'd was smart alecky with us about our wait. We've not been back since and will definitely discourage others from going!

Kelly's is pretty good, do a decent job with our child's food allergy. But as some others have pointed out - a little pricey.

Was baited in with the .25 oysters. They arrived dry...like they had been shucked in the morning and served at night.

Kelly's is an architectural wonder of the OBX. Contemporary multi level nautically designed dining areas and an excellent wine cellar. We have had dinner at Kelly's at least twice a year for the last 10 years and have alway had excellent service and very good food. I can only think of one time service was slow but on a busy night that can happen.
I also enjoy the night life here. With 2 levels in the separate night club area Kelly's brings in the best local bands so expect the music to be loud and the dance floor packed! Love it!

Our party of five ate here two weeks ago - the waitress was very attentive and the food was excellent. All five of us gave a "thumbs up"!

After waiting 45 minutes for a table, after we got our water we never saw our wait-person again. We left after 30 minutes. We used to go to everytime we visited the OBX, we will not go back.

We needed a place to celebrate a birthday and Kelly's gave us amazing accomodations in their secluded party room at just a day's notice in the middle of the summer! We had our own private waitress so the service was outstanding! The food was really great though some prices were a little high. Great place for families! I wouldn't think twice about going back to Kelly's.

Kelly's is a fine place to go on the OBX and you will seldom pick it as yu #1 favorite, but it is good and priced OK. Fish is fresh and they have a good selection. This place is busy all year long which shows that the locals like it too. Worth a visit!

Priced as fine dining, with unsophisticated wait staff, the odors and noises of a night club (which it is), and a busy and unimaginative kitchen, Kelly's is well promoted and usually very crowded. While the atmosphere is above average and Mike Kelly is a gracious host, usually the quality of the meals is not worth the wait or the expense.

Used to love this place, now I found it over priced, with substandard service. The place does not seem able to handle large parties (over 8), and twice they have been very mistaken about the wait time for a table (off by at least an hour). Not worth the $$$ nor the wait for a table.

First, let me say that both the food and service were very, very good. Good selection, quick and polite service. However, when the bill came, it was over one hundred dollars for three of us. Yikes...
