My favorite hideaway 4/19/2012

The food here is consistently really good; service too. They do get really busy at times, so patience and good humor go a long way to a relaxing and refreshing time. The atmosphere is friendly, casual and home-town comforting. Even our 3 yr old grandson mellows out when he's there! Lots of microbrews on tap - and lots more bottled. The decor has had a few upgrades and the window shakers aren't a problem at all anymore. Food-wise - TRY the oysters!! in whichever combination floats your boat. The nacho appetizer is HUGE; can feed 4 mildly hungry folks. And the Nags Mess Monster burger is the only meal you need that day.
My stress levels always go down after a meal here. So it's part of my wellness program - Lucky 12, once a week.

A fun time 9/12/2011

We spent a couple of hours here eating and drinking while we were waiting for our hotel room. Met a quite a few locals and had a great time. Loved it so much we came back again while we were vacationing. My boyfriend loved all the Steelers stuff... even a Kennywood sign!

Don't bother 7/16/2011

They need to do some needed repairs to this bar- restaurant. I had a hard time concentrating on tasting my food with the dirty air conditioner dripping on our food and clothing. We asked to be moved and our waitress assured us that this drip was at a better placement then were drops were falling at the other tables. Pizza was good, but do not order BBQ sandwich (dry).

Just my .02 10/5/2010

There are many reasons to eat here, but I just have to mention the Philly Cheesesteak salad. Yes, salad. It's all the meat and cheese, minus the bun, plus Romaine lettuce and dressing. Really good! Also, their fries tie with Mulligan's for my favorite. Good daily specials.

Annual tradition 5/14/2010

This is always our first stop for lunch when we cross the bridge. I great a crabcake sandwich every year and it is great. Cold beer is awesome too after the long trip. The Steeler bar thing helps too.

good pizza, loud music 9/12/2008
Reviewer: heisey from Upstate NY

We ate there a couple times last year and really liked it. This year, we stopped only once. The pizza is still great, but the music was awfully loud at the bar and the crowd seemed a little bit seamier than last year. Maybe it was just the day or even time of day we went.
And, we were almost overcharged by a couple drinks.

good casual dinner 12/22/2007
Reviewer: Me from Ohio

It’s a really nice low-key, laid back place. One side is a bar & the other is a sit down dining area. The burgers & pizza is good, but if you like to actually see/taste sauce on your pizza, ask for extra sauce, they hardly put any on otherwise. There are seafood items on the menu as well and they have pool & foosball tables. The vacation guides/coupon books have a $2.00 off pizza coupon in them.

best pizza on the beach 6/1/2007
Reviewer: Lauren from Nags Head, NC

I haven't tried anything else...because we love the thin style pizza at this place. Mushroom, garlic, and tomato toppings. Yum...our favorite pizza on the beach. The only complaint I have is that it's often too cold and the lighting in the dining area is a bit harsh.
