1 crock pot
4 1 lb loops of skinless smoked sausage, cut into bitesize slices
2 cups of catsup
2 cups of brown sugar
2 cups (lower shelf) bourbon
Mix together in crock pot the catsup, brown sugar, and bourbon - add sliced sausage. Start on hi for 1 hour, then reduce heat to lo for about 2 hours. Great party snack. Do not use top shelf bourbon, its to strong.
Kick it up a notch with 1/4 c bbq sauce.
This has been present at our work Christmas Party for the last 20 years. I got it from a fellow co-worker a long time ago.
