Ingredients List

2/3 cup Soy sauce
3 TBS water
2 TBS honey
3 TBS sugar
1 TBS sesame seeds
2 TBS sesame oil
2 cloves crushed garlic
2 TBS chopped green onions

Preparation Instructions

Mix togeather all ingrediants. Makes enough to marinate 2-3 pounds of meat. I have used this on beef, chicken, and pork. But I must say it is the best on beef. Also the longer you marinate it the better the meat. I try to give it at least 24 hours. Grilling the meat on charcoal is the best.

Recipe Background

I was lucky enought to travel to Hawaii in 1988. My best friend lived in a small apartment building(8units). In my honor they threw a party and were cooking strips of beef on a habachi marinated in Kal-Bi it was out of this world, any time I make this everyone wants the recipe. I omit the green onion it is just a matter of taste. Let me know what you think of it!!
