Tradition 5/4/2006

We usually do breakfast at the house but make a point of eating our one breakfast out here. I love the food and the atmosphere. Everyone likes the pony potatoes. This is the 1st place we ate on our 1st trip to the OBX in 1989

This is a place that never changes, and it shouldn't... 8/1/2005

If you're looking for traditional, southern cooking, the Pony Island is the place for you. My family has been visiting the island for 40+ years, and hardly anything has changed at the Pony. You can always count on great food, and the same friendly wait staff. For breakfast, don't miss the "pony potatoes". For dinner, the fried chicken is truly out of this world.

This is a nice family restaurant where you can have mexican omelettes or traditional western omelette. Southern hospitality and famous grits.
