We have eaten here twice and LOVE the place!! The Coconut shrimp is delicious!!! The homemade crab bisque soup is mouth watering!! Great view...highly recommend it...and try the coconut shrimp..you wont be disappointed!!

Family ate here in July. Picked this Sugar Creek over any other because we heard the kids meals were served on frisbees. Guess what...they are. Kids really got a kick out of that and they got frisbee. Seafood was great and the view was good too. Will eat here again.

I have eaten at Sugar Creek (RVs) several times over the years. I have never had a good entree. The chicken is soooo dry, the sides cold. Hamburgers are tasteless

I've been eating at RVs/Sugar Creek for at least 10 years and I have never had a bad meal here! Great location, great views, nice gift shop and excellent food. Their crab cakes are amazing!

It's family friendly but when too many families are there at once it becomes loud with babies crying and children running amuck. They squeeze you in wherever you fit nomatter how uncomfortable and the food is alright at best. Seafood is fresh but the chef needs some lessons.

We ate there once in October. The food was good but not memorable. The Tales of the Whale where we have eaten many times in the past would definitely get my vote by comparison.

We stopped in for a Saturday lunch in early June while waiting to pick up the keys to our rental. It was a good meal and the service was great. We had a nice table right at a window overlooking the sound. I had some sort of a broiled platter (fish, shrimp, scallops, and a crabcake). Everything was very good. I don't remember it being outrageously priced. If we didn't already have lots of other places we want to try, I'd definitely go back.

This place is either hit or miss for us. We've been several times over the years and it's been mostly good, but when it's bad we feel like it's a waste of money. Last time the shrimp didn't taste very fresh, but like I said, most of the time we've been we've had good food.

We ate here last year on our first day of vacation, had the best Mushroom swiss burger. The hamburger and onion rings are GREAT can't wait to eat there this year.

As a local this is our favorite place to eat. You must get the oysters, crab cakes loaded with crab and calamari. The best meal you could find anywhere.

New building went up this summer - Sugar Shack - owned by restaurant. Seafood to go; or you can eat there. Big selection even this time of year. I was impressed. Nice people. Steamed or fried. Lot of fish right from Wanchese.

rvs now sugar is a must while at the beach. go on friday nights with the shrimp special this spring they added to the restruant. a lot more room. do not not have to wait as long. the owner is people frendly.

We've been going there for many years and never had a bad meal. Love the dancing shrimp guy on Friday night-cracks me up. Try the Pineapple-Coconut cake for dessert-simply scrumptious and homemade by a lady in Manteo. Reasonable prices,friendly service. New addition will allow for larger groups. Strolling the dock while you wait for a table is fun for the kids. They can pull up the crab pots and see if there are any crabs in them. Nutria, Geese, Egrets, Herons and a variety of shore birds are fun to watch and the views are awesome because it sits right on the Sound.

RV's is one of the mainstays for our dinner nights out while on vacation. We have been visiting the OBX and RV's for ten years and are always pleased with RV's quality, service and prices. Kid friendly and the wait always flys-by with watching the nutria play in the sound. The additional boardwalk space is a nice touch. I usually steer away from the fried foods but I ordered the shrimp on our last visit and it was great. Light, crispy batter, not oily at all. Large, flavorful shrimp too. They must keep the oil fresh and hot. We look forward to this July 20th!

We wnet to RV's for the first time in Nov 2005. What a pleasant surprise! May be the best burger on the obx. Great view of the sound. They even have their own Nutria swimming around in the sound. The kids loved that. Service was very good. My daughter left her purse hanging on the chair when we left but the waitress came running after us with purse in hand. Thanks for doing that! We'll be back!

RV's is now called "RV's Sugar Creek". While the interior remains the same and the menu appeared to be unchanged, the food and service were definitely sub-par. Going to RV's used to be an absolute must on our trips but I'm not sure that we will go back after our last visit.

We usually stop at RV's for lunch every year when we visit. Their seafood is generally quite good, and the hamburgers are one of the best on the OBX. I just like the atmosphere and enjoy dining there.

I would argue that RVs is one of the Outerbanks finest restaraunts!! The gazebo/deck that sits over the sound with the built in bar for drink and appetizers makes any wait truly ENJOYABLE! We have been at least 20 times with absolutely NO negative experiences! The menu is diverse and the service was outstanding! The amazing views over the sound were certainly an added bonus!

We've been going to the Banks for years, but never tried RV's till the last two. Both times we were there for lunch and had excellent food. Try the shrimp burger, or the coconut shrimp or the catch of the day--all excellent!

We make it a point to eat here each year. I note none of the reviews are from the summer months. I think this must make a difference. We have always had good food, good service, and great view overlooking the sound.

The food here was ok, nothing to write home about but decent enough. They have a jewelry counter that was VERY nice. Got a great ring to remember our trip to OBX. The veiw of the sound was lovely too.

Well, I love this place for the wonderful views! Be sure to check out the nutria that live in the sound there. We've never had a bad meal here, nor anything less than great service. Wooooooooo, they do have corny commercials on TV, though!! It's a fun place and worth it just for the views - whether for lunch or a sunset dinner. Gotta love that.
