I am shocked that Sooey's has a better rating that Pigman's at the moment. Pigman's far surpases Sooey's in this local's book. In fact, I haven't meet another local yet who likes Sooey's. I've only eaten here once, but that was enough. My family and I will never go back.

this place has good fried chicken and decent ribs and bbq, i really love the fried buffalo chicken sandwich, however as far as bbq goes, corolla village bbq blows this place away for the best bbq go to corolla village bbq

i went there last fall and tried the ribs and they were excellent. fall off the bone with enough smokey flavor. just the right amount of bbq sauce. i liked it much better than bubbas. a little better than pigmans. and i havent tried high cotton yet but i heard they are the best. if you are a bbq lover i would try sooeys

Food was bland and the fried chicken tasted burned. The fries were soggy and the restaurant was dirty.

We had lunch here 6/2007. Prices were average, food quality was great. Kids meals are served on a frisbee. Friendly staff and nice outdoor seating area. We would return next year.

This was my first visit to Sooey's in Carolla. I thought the food was excellent. We had no trouble with the service. I would reccomend Sooey's to my friends

We've been going to Sooeys in Corolla for the past 3 years and have never been disappointed. We were however confused when we went to Timbuck 2 and they were no longer there. Luckily we found them across the street in the Foodlion plaza! Seems to be a smaller location, but everything was exactly the same, terrific! We even recognized a few of the staff from previous years. As always the ribs were excellent and this year they have Funnel Cake, which the kids loved! Best of luck.

The BBQ is vinegar based which is a regional specialty and done very well here. Many northerners are just unaware of how it's done in NC. We also LOVED the ribs, huge, meaty and great rib sauce which is perfect for the people who like saucy BBQ. This is our 5th visit to Sooey's and it was just as good in Corolla. Definitely family friendly, the kids loved the frisbees their food was served on as well.

We had the BEST ribs from here. We also ordered the crab cakes - tasted more like tuna fish. We had the beef brisket and pulled beef bbq. Also the pulled pork - no sauce on it. The fries and onion rings were huge. We also got mashed potatoes and green beans - good. We had so much we were able to eat some the next day! Delicious ribs!!

this is sooooo bad. This is not BBQ. It's rubber! This business owner is not a local business man. He doesn't know BBQ and probably hails from the north. No offense, but BBQ is a southern thing.
