If you want to get an early jump on your OBX vacation like we do try the White Doe Inn. They will pamper you to no end. They serve a 4 course breakfast that will keep you full all day. Additionally, Manteo is a very nice community. The Inn keepers and their staff are really nice folks who will bend over backwards for their guests. We always spend 2 nights there in October before we check in to our house. It's a great way to start the vacation.
