We've used Elan for the last four years and are amazed by the level of service. After using another rental company for the previous ten years, the difference was easy to recognize. The home werent is wonderful and the people in the office are friendly and professional.

For our 2007 OBX trip, we used Élan for the first time and would not hesitate using them again. From their great website, to personable staff over the phone and upon arrival, to an exceptional house, these folks know how to do it. Upon picking up our key, hot dogs were grilling out in front of their office along with soda and water...all complimentary. A nice welcome basket was presented to us with our keys and we were allowed early entry, at no additional cost! We also were allowed to ship to their office ahead of time, two cases of special dietary supplies for a special needs child in our group. Yes, Élan is very, very good and we would use them again, no question. One more thing...the house was incredible.

Our family has come to OBX for several years now and have used many different rental companies. We had rented from Elan in the past and were most satisfied with them out of all the other companies that we have used. This past year the home we rented had some problems (freezer didn't freeze, fridge would stay cool,hot tub did not work among a few other problems the home had and we lost several hundred dollars worth of food). We contacted Elan on several occassions and they promptly sent someone out to do what they could to take care of our requests. However, unfortunately most of the problems were due to the Home Owners not keeping their appliances and home in an upkept condition. After 2 days of being unhappy and calling Elan, they offered to move us to a different home. Which was much nicer than the one we were in. Not only that they extended our stay 3 extra days to compensate us for the lost food as well as the disatisfaction that we had in the first home. We were very pleased with the out come of our vacation and look forward to staying with Elan again next year. 299 more days!!!!!

This is the first time that we had rented through Elan, having used another company for years.
Their staff was very friendly and pleasant to deal with. The house was in impeccable condition. We had stayed in it years ago, and was worried about whether it had deteriorated at all. It was actually improved!
Upon checking in, I received a nice welcome basket, as well as sodas and bottled water in the refrigerator at the house.
It was great to be able to pick up the key at 1, and then head right over to the house. We are used to having to wait until 4!
We will definately use Elan again, and highly recommend them!
