I thought this was a good outcome. Hopefully future break-ins will be deterred.

We have Arlo and they are great! I didn’t have a power source for the cameras so these worked out great, the charge lasts for 2-3 months if not longer. I just purchased the ring flood light for my regular home at it is nice also.

Be active with your community watch. Put a camera on the street. A good 4M wireless unit is less then $100 bucks. The bad guys may not hit your place but you will be surprised at the night life walking your streets at night. When crime occurs law enforcement will search out those cameras for video and help.

We have a Piper, motion detector with alarm, temperature, works well! You can ask our PM maintenance tech. Haha. Awesome they caught the bad guy, community watch from 400 miles! Great idea with the external camera too!

I have Nest Cams at our houses.

Great for security, checking on weather while away. We also have a "Doxie Cam" so we can check up on the boys while we are out.

i know the salt air is destructive down here, but how long do you think a camera will last out side? How long do you think the camera will last?

Basic outdoor wifi cameras with a ip66 rating start at $39.95. If you get 2-3 years from them that's great. A diy throw away and replace item. Ultra hd ones are $75 and up. Most people replace a $800 cell phone in 3 years?

I have the Arlo system around my Front Door, Garage, and Back Yard / Pool Area. They are great!! Wireless, so you don't need a power source to run them. As someone said the batteries last a few months.

With the App, I am able to get alerts when ever there is action, and last summer when I was in London was able to see when the Dog Sitter came by and catch a glimpse of the dogs enjoying their vacation from us.

I just pulled the trigger on a pair of Arlo cameras for our place. I'm interested to see how they work out.

You will love them!

We purchased two Arlo cameras last July and love them! Battery life really depends on how much motion the camera picks up. We have one at our front door, which is rarely used, and we just had to charge it for the first time last week. The backdoor cam, which is where all of our coming and going activities happen, was just charged for the second time. Definitely would recommend Arlo!
