DockDogs event in Nags Head

I went to DockDogs today in Nags Head at the event area. Dogs run and jump into a pool to see who jumps the farthest. I saw one go 27 feet. The world record is 31 feet. The first picture is a dog that went 11 feet and the second is ours that maybe went 6 inches, but it was only her second try.

A bit timid.

That must have been fun, Tim. Never been to one - yet, but look forward to it.

Good for your girl for making her first jump at all! Thumbs up

We saw them setting up Friday night. The goal was to go by yesterday, but I totally forgot and came up beach road to stop at Calhouns Store from the south.

We have labs that LOVE the water but they don't get much distance.

That's gotta be a blast. Do they do this often?

This was a first for here, but some of the people that were there came up from Florida and they travel around with their dogs going to these - Who Knew?

My dog used to do that daily in my Texas pool. I was sometimes concerned that he’d nearly clear the pool and crack his head on the opposite side!

The end of the pool was about 33 ft and one dog went 27. The record is 31 I was told, that's close

Your dog would beat my dog by maybe 6 inches.

My dog would put up negative numbers.
