His dad owned a house in Martins Point but I thought that sold. I have heard he might have a house in Nags Head.

I didn't know that. You truly never know who you may run into.

My Dad bumped into him several years ago at a TW's Oyster Roast and had a 5-minute conversation with him about fishing the wrecks off of Oregon Inlet. My Dad said that there was not one single mention of his tv career or fame, it was just two regular guys named Ed, talking about fishing and slurping a few oysters.

He's a great actor. I always used to watch Married With Children when it came on tv. He's done a great job in various movies throughout the years such as Dutch, Little Giants and Spartan.

My wife was working out this morning at the Sports Club and he came in to work out as well. They exchanged greetings and smiles then he went to the next eliptical to exercise. She said there was very few people there and everyone left him alone to work out. Very cool!

It's kinda tacky, though, taking pics. You want to give the guy his privacy.

I pulled up behind his mother in the drive through line at the NH ECB. I was told by the teller that she's a really nice woman but to watch out if I pulled up behind her again as sometimes she'd put her car in reverse instead of drive. I guess she actually backed up into somebody there once :-). That's been 5-6 years or so ago.

I played Frisbee with the sound/camera crew when they were filming Nights in Rodanthe in Topsail. (Inside shots were all done in Topsail). Richard Gere and Diane Lane were both in the house at the time and we kept begging the crew to let us meet them!! We never did, but atleast we were THAT close lol!

Spoke to a friend of a friend who bar tends at Sanderling and they said Ed was up there the other day and they also saw Pat Robertson (700 club and past Pres candidate)and Kelly Clarkson. This place has become a celeb haven. They were not all together, just separate spottings of all of them.

I think the entire cast of Modern Family needs to shoot a vacation episode in OBX a-la the Brady Bunch trip to Hawaii...

'modern family " obx episode?

i just mentioned that to my wife the other day when this thread started...

as much as i like seeing it on tv and movies, i would hope it DID NOT happen. i am selfish that way...

heck i did not like when the gosslin's went to corolla, and that is a smaller cable show and not one of the top 10 shows on tv...
