Name and Location of Cottages- Early 60's

My family stayed at some cottages in the early 60's and none of us remember the name or location. We do remember they were owned or run by a Miss "Minnie ? The last name could be Perry. I still visit the outer banks with my family, and I would love to know if anyone recognizes these cottages from the picture and would be able to tell me a the name and any info they may have about them.

Thank you

Guy

Wish I could help but can't. Just wanted to say that is a classic photo.

That house looks like many on the west side of the beach road south of whalebone junction...

I had that same thought when I saw that photo.

we used to stay at a cottage that looked just like this on mile post 6 between the highways called the lambert.

Minnie Perry had several houses that were at about milepost 20 (south Nags head) Between E Altoona St and E Seagull Dr. I think there is still one house left called the perry house that is rented thru outer banks rentals (see the link below)
She was very active with the VFW and helped my uncle when he came back from Vietnam in 1968-69 with a place for him to stay while he recovered. She passed away in 1972

Thanks Alexy, my father and mother really liked Minnie, we made great memories there. It’s cool to know the general location they were located.

That sure looks like the cottages on Random Street in KDH. I would imagine that there were many of the same design scattered throughout, though.

They all looked like that.
My parents came home one afternoon in the mid 60's to 3 guys cleaning fish on the porch and they were at the wrong house. Just one block over. Same house same color but the shutters were blue and theirs were turquoise.

There's a surprise for ya! Might not be too bad if they left ya some fish, though.

Kinda figured they were all over. Strong, simple, and easy to build.

These places are cool. Back when things were laid back. The yuppie huts today? Not laid back. Not so cool.
