Nice work thus far!

I think the diet is the hardest part. I feel sometimes people see the word 'diet' as a bad word, but in this country, it's so easy to over eat. Diet, to me, just means not eating 'til full, and being mindful of what you eat. When you do that, and exercise a bit, you are bound to see positive results.

I'll get off my soapbox now. smiley

I've been trying to shed 5 lbs for so long now..Sounds like it should be easy right? Only 5 lbs! But I just cant seem to get it off.
I'm 132lbs, and I don't really NEED to lose any weight but I think I would feel better if I did. Basically toning up before the beach.

I've been watching what I eat and trying to make better choices and working out atleast 5 days a week. This past week I've really slacked but today I'm getting back on track.

I started too to get ready for vacation in August!! I have lost ten lbs in the last few weeks. Hoping for 30-40 total. Portion control is key with me.

Not sure what you guys use, but I have great success with the My Fitness Pal app. Really easy to track calories, and has pretty much every food possible in there. Even most of the chain restaurants. You can use it to calculate your calorie deficit, and if you follow the deficit, you are will lose weight.

...hey hockey addict...i have used my fitness pal for over two years now...i lost fifty pounds the first year...and have kept it off for over one year...it is a great tool...but really is it all about wanting to lose weight or not...and what you want to give up...................

I am, it's been a busy week for me, so I'm not weighing in as much, but I am still working out and dieting as best I can...it's hard when I'm on the road for work!

Starting up again!

I wound up giving up on working out in May or something like that, gained most of my weight back, but I didn't let it bother me while in OBX. I knew I'd come back more motivated than ever, which I am.

I felt like a slug on vacation though, getting winded from the ocean and playing volleyball, kickball, and all the other silly sports we play down there. I knew I'd come back and start working out and dieting full force smiley.

I'm into my 3rd week of working out since OBX and have lost about 12 pounds already smiley

I had a terrible weekend and ate poorly and didn't work out. I was too ashamed to check my weight, so i'm gonna hold off a few days before I check it again. The good news is I am back on track with working out and dieting! I'll weigh in before the end of the week!

Hang in there...we can do this!!! Look at where you started. You are doing great!! Just saw your post about getting a 35 mile bike ride together and my butt hurts just thinking about it. The furthest I've done is 25 and that was painful!!

Yep I am totally sticking with it, just not weighing in until this weekend - hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised!

My butt killed on our 20 mile ride, but I think because we stopped halfway for lunch...we wont be doing that again!

Yep thanks, corrected it.

Plans fell through for tomorrow's bike ride, but we are still going to try it in the near future.

Hahaha no nothing like that. I wasn't feeling good, and when I don't feel good, I don't work out or diet. Not that I was shoveling ice cream and cheeseburgers down my throat, but I strayed a little, and didn't work out at all. I went on a nice hike tho, and I started up my diet and exercise again last night, so it's all good.
