In an effort to show one person that no one is trying to hide the facts, here is a video on BN in Duck. Looks like they are getting ready to start pumping soon.

I'm only interested in rental agencies notifying their renters before they put money down that there's an active risk of their vacation being impacted. Given the experiences a few have posted here, I'm pretty certain the agencies have crafted a minimalist approach to doing that, posting some info somewhere in their website so the renter has to click through everything on the site to be notified along with a sentence in the contract disclaiming liability for BN. Not ideal, but much better than last time.

Whether or not you post info on this forum may help a few, but most renters aren't here.

Tell me what the lotto numbers are for this weeks winning ticket, telling a renter when BN will be there is exactly the same - A GUESS. If you "GUESS" wrong then shame on you.

You continue to mis-characterized the ask. No one is asking you to predict anything. Just tell them its happening and there's a possibility it could impact them. Point them to the website and let them figure out their own comfort with the risk.

You know this is a perfectly reasonable request and is the right thing to do, but you and the agencies & many owners won't do that because you know you'd lose business. So you've crafted a rationale that lets you hide from the ethical approach to justify your customer abuse. I get it. I can't respect it, but I get it.

As for lotto numbers, again, you exaggerate to hide you guilt. For a renter in Duck, the project takes 8 weeks from beginning to end. If a renter books within that time frame, they have a 1 in 8 chance of being impacted. That's not lotto numbers.

I'm renting a house in Duck very soon. The beach access is at the end of the street we'll be on. If work is being done on that stretch of beach, would we be able to use that access and then walk an area to the next nearest beach? It sounded like that's what was being said in the video, but I didn't quite understand! If not, can we use another beach access, or no, since I believe each is only for its particular neighborhood/section.

I'm seeing a lot of wine on the deck during this vacation... ;)

I'm in Duck now, just north of the Army Corps pier. Yesterday was lots of trucks moving pipes and construction equipment. Today they have orange fencing to keep sun bathers out from around Norbanks to Widgeon, however people can still walk through. Video on YouTube says dredger should be here on Tuesday.

Just want to give everyone a heads up, I got a lot of good information off this site and wanted to return the favor.

Thank you, Brijjack. Appreciate your response and picture!

My vacation won't be ruined no matter what. Just trying to figure out if we're going to be able to use the beach or not.
