We just got back from two wonderful weeks in Frisco. No fish though...did see one bluefish caught out at the Point, but that was it. Still a great two weeks!

Not caught a fish of the surf in Frisco last three trips.
Caught huge amount in surf at Hatteras, and Ocracoke beaches during same trips.
Wondering if beaches at Frisco are too shallow or?

My 13 yr old nephew hit the jackpot over Easter break. Just North of the pier. He caught a 34", 37", and a 41" blue. His sister caught a smaller one. Also caught a ray. Lots of guys out fishing that week that were pulling them in left and right. I am so happy he was able to experience that. Thumbs up Sorry for those that haven't had such luck.

With the water warming up, the bluefish may have continued on north. I would target mullet and flounder just beyond the breakers. Look for a rip and fish just either side of it with smaller hooks and bait.

Soundside or ocean? I will be down for a few days next week and should have a day or two to test the waters.

Pomps like clean, clear water, clear as gin. I like to back up after casting, too, so they don't spook from my shadow.

What are you all using for bait? I usually have really really good luck with blood worms!

Just dig up some sand fleas (that's probably What they're eating in the shallows/surf) , small to medium better than big, soft shell shedders better than hard shell, and an egg sac is a bonus..I hook the flea first, then add a small piece of fish bite blood worms. It helps hold the flea on, and approximates the color of an egg sac.
Shrimp is a good bait, too. And blood worms can be good, but they give me the willies.

Today's fishing brought 3 nice blues! Made two happy boys! Did them on the charcoal, yummy! Tomorrow going to try Ocracoke.
Oh, they are using, shrimp, mullet and lures.
Last night in Frisco my son caught some kind of trout, looks like rainbow trout. He said it was too small to keep. I didn't get to see it.
