Back in January of '14 Mrs. Blue Fish, nehall, my dog Grace, and myself climbed Buffalo Mountain in Floyd, Virginia. I'd climbed it before, but this was the first time since I had read "The Man Who Moved a Mountain" (Bob Childress). The experience of standing on God's rock in the sky that day was profound for me. Something I kept to myself and didn't share with my climbing buddies. As I began stepping down from the summit, as if on cue, these two young men asked if they could "have the stage." I obliged, and as I looked in their faces I could almost read the words of their story in their eyes. They've been returning to this mountain every year since childhood on New Years Day. Reminding themselves of where they've been and renewing their focus on the year ahead. With their permission, I captured their moment.
