In memory of Marvelous Moondance

This dilapidated, worn out, falling down, cabin (worse on rear than this front) is on the way to our river cabin. I always think of MM when I pass it and finally snapped a pic. How I wish I had done that before he passed with his love of rust and all manners of old stuff. Can't you just see him crawling all over this sort of thing, shooting any number of photos?
I realize my skills are limited, challenged even , compared to his and many other photogs who post but wanted to post just the same.
Remembering you fondly MM. Red heart

RE: In memory of Marvelous Moondance

He would have loved this <3

I miss him a lot. I hope his loved ones in "real life" know how much he was loved, and is missed, around these parts.

RE: In memory of Marvelous Moondance

He is very much missed. Always had a thought provoking comment in threads about music, the outdoors and dozens of other subjects. I always think of him when someone mentions the "dreaded dune snakes".

RE: In memory of Marvelous Moondance

He was always level headed on the forum. We traded Pm's about of all things..... cows.... He was a decent person.

RE: In memory of Marvelous Moondance

It's a beautiful shot Judy....he would've loved it.

RE: In memory of Marvelous Moondance

Thanks Judy. He was unique in the best of ways.

RE: In memory of Marvelous Moondance

Yes he would have liked your photograph Judy.....and might have said it would look great in black and white.

RE: In memory of Marvelous Moondance

Thanks, Judy. No lie, I was thinking about him earlier today.

RE: In memory of Marvelous Moondance

Not only would he have loved the picture, he would have loved to stay there for a few days.

RE: In memory of Marvelous Moondance

Nice Judy Broken heart

RE: In memory of Marvelous Moondance

I was going through some old OBX pictures and this one caught my eye. I don't even remember taking it, but I thought of MM when I saw it. Cape Hatteras lighthouse at the top. I never thought twice about rust before!

RE: In memory of Marvelous Moondance

Another. I know this lighthouse was special to MM, just by reading his trip reports.

I have no idea who's foot that is. What kind of idiot would climb that lighthouse in flip flops.

John

RE: In memory of Marvelous Moondance

So John, how was the climb in flip flops? Wink smiley

Lol you read my mind

I, errr, I'll have to ask that person when I see them again. Whistle It seems like such a bad idea that I can't imagine anyone doing it on purpose... Wink smiley

Nice picture Judyk. MM got me into looking for rust. there is an old tractor I pass quite often that is covered in rust. One of these days I'll stop and get some pics of it. I think of MM every time I pass by it.
