FM and XM are things of the past. The new old rage is AM radio!
What in the world is "I Radio" on the FM dial? After finding an FM station to my liking it finally occurred to me that they were playing a continuous loop of the same songs! Is it meant to be subscribed to? For money? I don't get it...
The name is pronounced I Heart Radio, btw.
I believe it's part of I Heart Media, and they have something like over 500 stations across the country; both FM and AM. They also have free internet radio, but have a fee (subscription based) for your "personalized listening", so to speak
I think they were packaged together and built an app to compete with Spotify, Pandora et al.
That's the direction it's going to listen to music.
