Ingredients List
2 1/2 Cups Paprika
1/4 cup Sweet Basil
1/4 cup Oregano
2/3 cup Garlic powder
1 cup salt
1/4 cup Black pepper
1/4 cup white pepper
1/4 cup Cayenne pepper
1/4 cup Dill Weed
Preparation Instructions
Mix all together, will keep forever in an airtight container.
The Key to blackening is to coat the fish or meat with melted butter to give the seasoning something to stick to.Sprinkle seasoning to taste on both sides and set aside.
Using a cast iron pan, get it white hot. Best done outside because of the smoke. When that pan is as hot as you think it can get without melting, drop the fish or meat in. Watch your eyes cause the smoke will set you to stumbling if it gets in them. Cook two to three minutes on each side and enjoy.
