1 1/2 Cups chocolate chips
1 1/2 Cups Sugar
1/4 Cup All-Purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 Cup Buttermilk
1 1/2 Tablespoons Vanilla extract
'I added a few chopped pecans to the top of mine'
9" pie crust..bought or make your own
pre heat oven 325
Place chocolate chips in double boiler and melt over low heat...
In a medium bowl..wisk together the sugar, flour and salt until well combined..
In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla. Add the sugar mixture and mix with electric hand mixer...
With a rubber spatula, stir the melted chocolate into the batter...
Pour batter into uncooked pie crust, you will have about a cup of batter left over..Bake for 1hr 15min. to 1hr 25 min. or until the pie is crisp on top and a knife inserted in the center comes out with a bit of moist chocolate on it..
Remove from oven and cool completly before serving..Garnish with cool whip..
refrigerate left over pie...YUM
