Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms

Ingredients List

Step 1
1 cup water
1 stick real butter
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
4 oz can chopped green chilis drained
1 tsp hot sauce
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
dash of worchestershire sauce
Step 2
1 cup fresh or canned crab meat
1 cup chopped cooked shrimp
1 1/2 to 2 cups Pepperidge Farms Herb Stuffing mix
Step 3
2 Lbs white mushrooms, clean, remove stems and aprons
4 Tbs real butter
2 cups shredded mexican cheese mix

Preparation Instructions

Step 1- Bring to a boil in 2 quart sauce pan, reduce heat simmer for 5 minutes, remove from heat. Add step 2 ingredients to step one. Mix well and let sit for 5 minutes. Add more dry stuffing mix to get a nice stuffing consistancy. Set aside while preparing Step 3-In a 13"x9" baking dish melt the butter in the bottom of the dish, place mushrooms in the pan stem side up, fill with stuffing, cover with cheese, sprinkle with paprika. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until brown and bubbly.

Recipe Background

We really liked the stuffed mushrooms from Red Lobster so I experimented till I came up with these it does take a while to prepare but it really is worth the wait. If I'm taking them to a party or get togeather I don't bake them till I get there! Most people love them!! Hope you enjoy them too!
