Good food, small inside 4/12/2018

We enjoyed our mix of food here. I had a burger with pimento cheese and it was great. I was told that the others who had popcorn shrimp, club, and another burger were all tasty too. Service was good also.
The place was very small inside. It was spring and still chilly out so we didn't choose to sit outside. There are only 4 or 5 tables, plus maybe 8-10 bar type seats. It's very tight inside, but it was worth it. The prices were good and food was delicious!

Arts is a small place that exists mostly on locals. Gladly it is undiscovered by many tourists. The food here is fabulous. You would not expect such creativity from the chefs at such a small place. The burgers are to die for, mostly because of the quality of the meat. I don't know how they do it but they are delicious. Wings are fabulous also! Very casual help yourself atmosphere. Worth the visit!

Wow since I wrote my last review, I've been there more than a time or two, and they continually surprise me with their good food! The burgers are top-notch, no question. They ask you what you want on it and dress it for you.
The latest awesome reason to go to Art's is brunch! They have been doing it Saturdays and Sundays lately, but I think it's best to check their facebook page. I get the Art's Benedict, which is a delicious creation of asparagus, hollandaise, english muffin, sauteed goodness and homemade fruit compote. How do I know it's homemade? Because if you go there on Friday night, you see chef Thibs reducing the berries in a giant sauce pan and marinating the asparagus. Okay I'm getting hungry.
When you walk in, grab a seat and a menu. Don't be afraid to refill your own coffee. Try to check out jazz night on Mondays. It's worth the crowd.

Breakfast at Arts 4/22/2012
Reviewer: bizbach
One rainy November morning last year we went to Art's for breakfast. The waitress was not feeling well but she did her best to take care of us and the place was very busy. Bloody Mary's and beers seemed quite popular for breakfast. Our breakfast was tasty and fairly priced and I hear their burgers are awesome too. Will go back next time I am in Kitty Hawk.

I went down to OBX for mine and my friends birthday. We decided to stop here because it looked cozy and fun. We had a great time. The people there were very friendly and the food was great.

We had eaten there a couple of years back and it was great. Ate there last month and the service and food was horrible and it was filthy. Will definitely cross it off our list.

It's an Outer Banks institution, yet I must admit I have only been there once. But in that one visit, the staff was extremely friendly, the breakfast was excellent, and the atmosphere was pure, happy beach. I particularly enjoyed the home fries - they were small diced potatoes, well cooked, not mushy at all. It's a personal preference, but they were exactly how I like them. You can enjoy the ocean breezes if there is room at the tiny outside bar. After you eat, check out the view from the top deck. Will definitely be back!

This was a nice place before the fire that gutted it and they had a huge burger back then. The last time I was there it had gone up in price, down in quality. At least they don't smoke in there anymore.

Every time I go to the Outer Banks, I make a point to stop to eat at Art's Place. I find the burgers to be extremely abundant for one person to eat and the home made fries are great. The restaurant was good to start with but with the new management, it is wonderful. I tell all my friends in Virginia about it and they stop in when they are there. Great place.

My family and I stumbled onto Art's Place by chance and it's the luckiest find we've had on the beach. Art's Place is THE place for a reasonable priced menu (at least before the fire) and fantastic food to go with it. The breakfast and hamburgers aren't to be beat on the beach... and the dinners are quite good! A definite must-eat place when on the Outer Banks.

This is an old local hangout that had a kitchen fire last year and has since been all redone. Nice, bright and NON-SMOKING. The later will make me go back. The place is known for it's huge burger, but sadly the burger has suffered from the times and is not much bigger than most $5 burgers in size. The food is good but expensive for what you get.
