Cafe Lachine is a small eatery that serves sandwiches on homemade bread, soups, salads and baked goods including custom cakes.

We are open from 6:30 am to 5 pm for breakfast, lunch and early dinner Monday through Saturday and 6:30 am to 3:00 pm on Sunday. Choose to take out or stay and dine at one of our barstools inside or one of our four bistro tables out front, or our new indoor dining area. We also offer catering for any occasion.

This is an absolutely wonderful place! I had the fried green tomato BLT. I was huge, and on house made fresh bread. Space tastefully decorated and the tables are not on top of each other. Did I mention the house made sweet goodies? They are great. Try this place, you will like it.

We found this place because we know a friend JB who works for Jason Lachine. Great little place near the Outer Banks Hospital.

We got my mom's birthday cake from Cafe Lachine last September. They did a great job and the cake was fabulous. While we were picking it up we got lunch and the home made soup was wonderful and so were the sandwiches. Highly suggest you give them a try.

Delicious soups of all sorts - mushroom, carrot-ginger, potato-onion, tomato-basil and a few more! Get a lunchbox with chicken salad on a croissant, cup of soup, a delicious side like orzo salad, a drink and dessert for less than $10. Hard to beat for a lunch this good!

They won the OBX Chowder cookoff in 2012, and various other awards because yes they are THAT GOOD! Give them a try at the north end of the Outer Banks Mall, near milepost 14.
