All of us at the Outer Banks Brewing Station believe that inspired brewing deserves to be paired with revolutionary cuisine. We pride ourselves on using fresh ideas to resurrect old traditions, turning ordinary experiences extraordinary, and putting the most into your dining experience.

Naturally, this requires a very special place and many special people to make it all happen. At the Brewing Station, you'll find bits of brewing history along with various pieces of the lost Outer Banks (ask about the bricks!) and the characteristics that make the Outer Banks the best place to live in the world.

The Brewing Station is a must-visit for us each year. We love dining out back in the yard, where they have a nice little pirate ship themed play structure for the little kids and corn hole games for the bigger ones. :)

The food and beer have never disappointed.

The wait for a table inside can be long, but the tables out in the yard are first-come, first-serve. The only challenge outside is that it can be hard to get the attention of the wait staff, but there is an outdoor bartender who can help.

My wife was determined to try this after we saw it on Triple D and it did not disappoint. We had everything from Tuna Stack, to the Yard Bird Chicken sandwich, to the Shrimp n Grits, Delicious! This will be a must stop. Oh, and I tried the Flight beer sampling and the beer was pretty good as well.

Nice atmosphere. Wife said beer was good. Nice kids menu. Prices are much too high for the amount and quality of the food. IMO

Our group of 12 came here for dinner on the Thursday after Memorial Day. A very good choice. We had everything from crab cakes, scallops, surf and turf, hush puppies, to many other items. No one was disappointed.

The beer selection...well that was good too. And our sever was excellent. We would defiantly go back.

We tried OBBS on a whim, and were so very very pleasantly surprised at how good the food and the beer and root beer turned out to be! I read most of the other reviews before posting, and many are very very old. So, my guess is that OBBS has taken to heart some of the issues that were brought up in those posts. We weren't disappointed at all with the goodness of the food; I love homemade root beer; and the kids really enjoyed the root beer float that they were sharing! We went back for lunch the day we left OBX (the hamburger was a little overdone, but hardly inedible), and I believe we will plan on making OBBS a stop again next year! It may become a "tradition" (Lord willing)!!!

Visited here on Tuesday evening for beer/dinner. My flounder (fish & chips) was awesome. The 2 vegetarians in our group were very pleased with their dinners - tofu & pasta. The final member of our group said their version of a reuben (the "Brewben"?)sandwich was "just okay". The 2 beer drinkers in the group were happy and the service was good. Overall, a pleasant experience.

OBX Brewing Station has such variety, from great hamburgers to steaks to local fish/seafood. We go there 2-3 times each week we go to OBX for vacation.

Just went today about 2:00. Place had a funky odor. Table and menus were dirty. After 15 minutes and no server showing up we left. Went to Millers.

Went for the first time last year and will be going back for sure- if you like mussels you will be a happy camper. Great beer and service- it was REALLY crowded even in mid sept but they did a good job.

The menu has greatly expanded since a few years ago. The favorites are there, but there is now so much to choose from and it's all good! And yes, the beers are excellent, and they really do brew them there. But the best new thing about the Brewing Station is the back yard. Fenced in, nice grass, picnic tables, corn hole games, and a pirate ship for the kids to enjoy. And music every Thursday evening. Oh and don't forget the homemade desserts. Just tried the carrot cake for the first time and LOVED IT! Try the Brew Station, you won't be disappointed

The beer is good. The service was awful. The Tuna was worse. The waitress argued with me over dressing, there was none??
I left her $10 to get a life. Normally $30. i travel 48 weeks a year very tolerant. Just sucked.

We stopped here on our way to see the Lost Colony. Needed to try something different. Great awesome food. I am not a huge beer drinker, but I could have had several servings of the sampler. Will definitely go back and stay longer next visit!

This was the most fantastic food Ive ever had at a restaurant! wow it was a total surprise, I was just going there to try the beer. The beer was excellent, i got the sampler and was able to try 4 of their beers, but the food!!OMG The presentation was excellent but it tasted even better than it looked. We had the filet steak which was out of this world and we had the catch of the day(rockfish). Both meals were awesome and we topped it off with creme brulee and desert wine.

Which is more important? The beer or the people? Both are the best of OBX, NC! And the food is outstanding. My only critical comment is the range of the menue is slightly limited for regulars but what they serve is TOPS 1ST CLASS THE BEST GREAT ETC ETC ETC You cannot go wrong at this establishment and please don't order Bud or Miller Lite. If that's your style go to 7-11 and get a six pack and drink it in the car!

The beer was great but the food was not that good. Great atmosphere. Did I say the beer was good. We haven't been there for a couple of years, maybe we'll try again this summer.

Great beer, great food, great music! We loved the local flavor at the bar. We had delicious steaks, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented for dinner in the upstairs dining room, then stayed to hear one of our favorite bands. We highly recommend OBBS to all of our friends who are going to be in the area!

We ordered apps and beers and then feasted on the apps which consisted of thai crab dip, a rack of ribs and shrimp with grits and red eye gravy. The three of us were barely able to continue eating but decided to split a filet. Done to absolute perfection and absolutetly delectable. Everything about the place was magnificent. The staff, the service, the beers, the food, and the presentation were first rate. Truly an outstanding experience.

Food was overpriced and overcooked. They had some amazing ideas on their menu, but failed to turn those into tasty dishes. I added a star because the service and atmosphere were great, then had to take it back because they had only 1 beer availible when I was there. Perhaps it's improved?

I really enjoyed the setting in this place. It's not all that cheap, but it's worth it. The staff was very polite too. My boyfriend and his son liked the four-beer sampler they got. I had some kind of veggie wrap-type thing and it was pretty tasty. The 1940's era romance novel covers plastered to the ladies' room wall kinda freaked me out though.
