I've spent the last 5 years developing my kayak fishing guide business on the Outer Banks. Whether it's chasing citation red drum, cobia, albacore, Spanish mackerel or bluefish in the ocean or puppy drum, speckled trout or flounder in our sound watersI have an adventure for all ages and experience levels. From the beginning, I developed a family adventure that puts the entire family hands on with our marine life and its environment.

Having filmed underwater with a variety of our inshore and pelagic species, I understand how to put individuals in touch with the majestic beauty of our underwater world in a shallow water environment that is safe and enjoyable for all. In 2009, I pioneered mother-shipping kayaks into the Gulf Stream. Myself, friends, and clients have racked up mahi-mahi, tuna, and amberjacks just to name a few pelagic species.

No other guide on the Outer Banks has experience in offshore kayak fishing. I continue to push myself and my kayak to utmost limits, so that I can offer a variety of adventures to my clients. From beginner to extreme and everything in between, I have something for everyone.

I've been "yak" fishing with Rob Aldermann of Outer Banks Kayak Fishing, and had a fantastic day out fishing the inlet and sound! The bite was slow, but Rob got us into fish. He really knows the water and technique to catch trout, drum and flounder. I've been a fresh/saltwater fisherman for almost 50 years, but before we went out, I had never even sat in a kayak. I was a complete "greenhorn"... totally out of my comfort zone, but Rob's tutelage got me paddling like a pro in no time. Rob is a fantastic instructor of kayak technique and he has turned me on to a new venue of saltwater(or freshwater) fishing. Still don't know how he is able to stand up in a kayak... think he does it with mirrors.
If you're a fisherman who would like to give kayak fishing a try, or a kayaker wanting to try fishing, send Rob a FB message through Outer Banks Kayak Fishing. You will not be disappointed.
