Forget The Waxes

Once again I'm sold on this product, Cquartz!!! I've used this on a bunch of cars and trucks, paint and wheels. The stuff in great! Like lots of things its all in the prep, Wash, Clay and Wash again. I use to Dawn to make sure all the wax is stripped, then wipe down with alcohol to make sure any other contaniments are removed. If you have swirls etc... you'll want to make sure these are polished out before you apply. I did my CR-V over the weekend and it looks great, looks better than new, the gloss is better than new. My Ridgeline and Saab beaded for at least 18 months. If you unsure how to apply their are lost of very good instructions on Youtube. I'm done with conventional waxes.

Cquartz is a nano ceramic coating.....

Thanks for posting this. I've been wondering about the ceramic coatings and have done some reading and watched a few YouTube videos. There are a few places near me that do this but they are charging $600 or more for the application.

I had some similar coating ( I think..lol) by Great Lakes Chemical for free as part of the deal when I bought my F-150 in 2014. I'm pretty sure the coating has worn off but the paint has no swirl marks. I may give this a try when the weather warms up.

Its really great stuff, like I said its all in the prep. It took me about 4 hours from start to finish, 75% of that time was washing and drying the vehicle. Make sure you get all the water off and also make sure their is no rain in the forecast for at least 24 hours or have a garage. It takes that long to cure. The easy part is wiping the Cquartz on, you let it kick to a haze which will happen in 3-10 minutes depending on temp, then wipe / buff off. I put 3 coats on my hood and roof about 2 hours apart. One 50ml bottle should do two coats on an "Average" size car. And yes detail places around me charge $1000 on up for the service

As a former boat owner I would be curious how it works on fiberglass / gel coat
