I read on others’ posts about grounding electrical wires for pools, hot tubs, etc... apparently post-2006 there were different codes and rules associated with construction. That said, in rental agreements, if I recall #14 -reads grounds may affect pacemakers. In the past three years I have become100% reliant on mine so I panicked and cancelled my vacation rental two years ago. I want to come back to Currituk County as I and my family love it there - but I’m afraid to until someone can confirm its safety. Like politics, everyone has an opinion on this situation and swears theirs as fact. Can anyone provide actual proof? I want to come before the end of this season - if possible! I have; the cardiologist called the icd manufacturer who researched. As it stands - I am likely in danger of the PM being affected by any electrical charge from the ground.

I’ve read where people feel it in their feet and hands when touching counters in stores, steps in pools, sand on the beach, etc.
I’ve also read where one person felt it in their feet when they walked into a general store and the owner said it happens all the time.

Although pacemakers have come a long way they are still affected by certain electrical charges including engines on a weed whacker, chainsaw, and motorcycle.

I believe this issue is a “thing” - otherwise why would it be used in a rental agreement as a caveat of liability?
