I don't recall ever receiving as much campaign candidate advertising in the mail as I have for this election.

Also Tess Judge and Bobby Hanig must have mighty deep pockets to afford all of the television spots I've seen.

I voted earlier this week in town hall. Very easy process. Much better way to vote here.

I've been commenting to people that this year has the fewest signs on lawns. Very rare to see a sign here this election year. Really strange compared to past years.

Baker is a very popular governor here. None of the guys I have coffee with Friday mornings could even name the person he's running against. I have no idea, and I voted. Theeth smiley

The mayor of Gloucester is … um … interesting. She's at the end of this commercial, starting at 0:20.

Amen. Mailers go straight into the recycling bin. I've also received 5 texts this week. Reply stop to every one. I don't answer the phone unless I know the number. Crazy this year. I've even seen paid advertisements asking for donations (presumably to buy more advertisements)! I wish there was a way to tell everyone, YES I'M VOTING, now leave me alone.

My daughter turned 18 in June, so she's excited to be able to vote. We'll all go over after work. Unfortunately, no early voting in PA.

I voted last week at the KDH Town hall. Paper ballot. Lots of people waiting to vote.

Early voting was very convenient here. I'm in town every week to go to the library for the NY Times crossword puzzle and previous week's answers for my wife, SIL, and MIL. Town hall is just up the street.

The school that's my normal polling place doesn't have a lot of parking, and it can get crowded especially is school is in session. Really like early voting. Banana

I wish they had it here in PA. The midterms are not usually that bad at our polling location, but I drove by this morning and every parking place was taken and people were parking on the road. Absolutely crazy turn out or it could just be that they staffed for a mid-term and it's heavier than expected.

I'm going to try to leave work early and take my daughter. Hopefully the crowds are not as bad then.

We have early voting here too. We voted last Sunday and had a 30 minute wait. Cannot imagine not having it anymore.

We have early voting here also. The funny thing is there are usually lines (sometimes long lines) for early voting, but I never have to wait on election day. I voted this morning at 9 and there was no line at all.

Having read through these posts on a local message Board, three things come to mind:
1. Those who vote early at their convenience may not have the time or wherewithall to read up and vote on election day.
2. Those who serve and may be absent/deployed are better informed of the safety and security issues of the USA.
3. Informed Voting is a duty and responsibility of each Citizen.

No rights(?) and wrongs here. Just one persons' opinion on the expansion of early voting. With possible unintended consequences. In NC Eastern Region. to keep it Local Issues and Politics.

My daughter and I just got back from voting (wife went earlier). Very small line at 3pm, but they have had a very high turn out so far. Glad I got in before the evening rush...

Amen to that Thumbs up
It would be interesting to see how much the candidates spent on their campaigns.

Why is the media fixated on who spent more on a campaign?
Interesting question.
My opinion: this is a reason, as well as political character assassination, negative ad campaigns with no platform or agenda, why our best qualified, good and faithful persons don't run for elected office. We are served by shallow minds and deep pockets, and would be better served by shallow pockets and thoughtful minds.
And by thoughtful people rather than herding sheep to the polls. Early or on the day.
