I have made many of these over time. Most are gifts for others. I like the look on the faces when they are struggling with what they are.These are Mahogany and Hickory, 9” and 6” long.
The first step is the layout and drill small holes for the 2 short cuts that allow the hinging.
Chisel the material allowing the movement.
Make 2 long cuts, only one done here, and then they open.Some sanding and put them to work.
