I bought her a mono pod , it is like a walking stick with a camera screw on top. Her new camera Coolpix P900 has incredible zoom on it but you need a tripod or mono pod to hold it steady with the zoom all the way out. Sure did help.

Great shot.

I have a collapsible mono pod strapped to my camera bag. I use it a lot for long zoom shots or outdoor sports shots. Stabilization will only take you so far. Your wife's cameras zoom is so good it needs more stabilization.

Yeah that's why I got the Mono pod We have several tripods that work well but when your out walking the mono works well. We have been trying to get a close up of a white deer we see frequently .

Monopods are great. In addition to assist in outdoor photography I have used mine in museums and aquariums where tripods are prohibited but monopods are allowed.

Makes a pretty good walking stick to if you're in a pinch.

Those shots are pretty amazing. Does she let you use it much? I bet you can get some pretty nice shots of wildlife with it. The specs look pretty good, with a relatively fast lens for that much magnification.
