Took a few days off and went to Black Water fall West Va near the town of Davis. Nice little cabin in the woods are available for rent. The offer a great snow tubing area with the largest conveyor belt to take tuber back up . Also have Cross country skying trails too. Lovely lodge with a good restaurant. Friendly Deer too. But the falls are the big attraction . Had a great time except it was cold . Got snowed on twice when we were there and the ride home for the first 40 mile was in 4 wheel drive. But we made it safely home

All in all a nice getaway for us just 2 1/2 hours away Would recommend it to any one . The parks are offering stay 2 nights and get the third free.

Great photos Rick. Love the deer close up and the falls photos a lot. The "ride home" photo is scary. I checked out the website and those cabins look very nice. The state of WV appears to do it right.

I stooped in once during the summer a few years back after a family reunion. Beautiful area. I have always wanted to go there after a snowfall.

We've stayed there also and loved it. It is also just a short drive to nearby skiing (Timberline Resort and Canaan Valley) with very reasonable prices and great location. Its a 6 hour drive for us, and but love the location! We also always stop at Sirianni's for their delicious pizza in Davis.
