Quiet Out There

Awfully quiet on this site. I guess it's the Winter blues. I have very little to report, but can say the Bluefin Tuna are playing hard to get most days. A few nice Yellowfin have saved the day for recreational anglers. Lots of rumors about the new management of OIFC. Wanchese Marina (not OBX Marina) is planning significant renovations including extensive new slips. Oceans East from Virginia Beach is moving into Whalebone Tackle.

Hope the Bluefin pick up for those needing the paycheck. I have no desire to ever hook into one of those. Learned my lesson with a 123 pound Bigeye. That was just over an hour in the chair. I think a Bluefin would cause significant aches and pains for a week or more after. Too old for that! This time of year I will stick with Speckle {Crappie} fishing. Tight Lines!

I may know the angler and Captain Big grin
Pickle - get your boat out through the Inlet, they are waiting for you unless you already have your 1.
