What is the other vacation guide besides sunny day? The other mass market type one.

I remember something called “the getaway”. Usually various discounts on lodging, restaurants, activities, merchandise. Valid in the off season. I have no idea if it is still available.

Visitor's Guide. It is a Magazine Sized Freebie. Visitor's Guide also has the OuterBanks.com website. It is put out by Vista Graphics of Va Beach who has Visitor's Guides in other Southern Cities. Sunny Days is a smaller guide. Both are very good. There was also the One Boat Guide publications (Newspaper Print) for each Outer Banks Town or Area.

I believe JudyK is referring to the "Credit Card" type "Pass" issued by the Outer Banks Visitor's Bureau. I don't know if that is available anymore. However, the Outer Banks Visitor's Bureau puts out a very nice publication which can be obtained in hard copy at the Visitor's Centers either in Kitty Hawk or Manteo. Try outerbanks.org their web site. It lists all accommodations, attractions, fishing charters. Excellent source of info

Yeah, the “OneBoat” thing is linked here. I’ve never looked for or used their coupons but it came to mind when I saw your thread header. It’s a fairly comprehensive guide anyway.

My kids used to LOVE the coupon books when they were young. They would load up on them and bring them home with them. In the winter when we missed the beach and had the blah's they would get them out and poor over them and look at all the places they'd want to visit or eat. Reminded me of my childhood in the 70's waiting to look at the HUGE JcPenny and Sears catalogs my mother used to get so I could start my Christmas list.

YES! Same here with my daughter. Funny story, my goofy coworker gave his friend the PIGMENs menu list to show him or show off I don't know which. Well the guy put the menu on his parents refrigerator and his elderly mother almost called from Pennsylvania. She thought it was a new local eatery. I know my coworker was very impressed with all the ads. he was so excited the first time he went to the OBX, I took him twice. if you ever ran into a pirate on the beach that was him.
