More like a boat ramp and a mowed field, but hey, if they want to call it a park Wink smiley

I'll have to pay closer attention next time I go down that way, I don't even remember a boat ramp. I do know for sure that the speed limit in Athalia is 35; and they mean 35, not 36, not 38 and certainly not 41.

I had to pull the place up on Google Maps.

All I found was a boat ramp like you said.

Yea, and those rip-rap rocks had to be wet, cold, and muddy. And how do you hide your Chrysler 300 in a 2-horse town?

Apparently not! We go down that way to our doctors, and it has been there at least since my youngest was little, so at least 14 years? He was always fascinated by it.

Last couple of pictures in the listing shows rocks along the riverbank.

It is, Paul. River flooding is uninhibited in that area...no floodwall. Those rocks , just like bulkheads, act to protect the existing river bank from erosion and flood concerns.

They get hit pretty hard in that area by high water every few years
