I don't edit my photos much and one reason is I couldn't figure out how to export from Photoshop to sites I wanted too.I just bought Lightroom and while you can't do as much I have figured out how to share with it. This is my first one. It is an old pier on Staten Island where I often go with my dog Dakota to watch the Sunrise. I have definitely tinkered with this one but I like it.

I've been using PS since day one. Lightroom is decent. What do you need to know about exporting? Aren't you just saving out a file to a folder and uploading to a site from there?

I wasn't doing that. I really didn't know what I was doing. However I have figured out how to do it with Lightroom. I might try it again.

It's funny but after reading your comment I bought 2020 Photoshop and I now able to post the pics on sites. Still have more to learn though. Thanks.

Which one did you buy? I see PS from ~$100 to $300.

If you want to explore photo editing and don't want to spend $$$, check out Polarr Photo Editing.
It's free , does a good job and not too complicated to learn basics . There are some paid upgrades but the free package will give you a good feel of editing software. Also, if you have a MacBook, the photo app has some editing features.

We have a Photo and Video company. It is how we make our living.
All of the major editing suites are pretty good. Don't be afraid to try them all, you can always reset to the original RAW image.

But, my favorite to use is Lightroom. It may look overwhelming at first, but it can be as easy or intense as you like. Plus, you don't need the latest version. I know pros still working off of Lightroom4 because they love it so much.
