Looking for a bike

Does anyone have an old beach cruiser bicycle they’d be willing to part with? Let me know if you have one at your cottage you would sell.
Thanks!

Ps - yes, I know you can buy used from the rental places like DVO but the price point on adult bikes there is more than I would like to spend.
yes, I’m checking craigslist too. ;)

The thing with DVO is they're probably selling Jamis bicycles, cause I remember renting from them once, and that's what it was. In general they are not cheap bikes. They're not the best of the best, but certainly you can find cheaper beach cruisers brand new. In fact, you can get a brand new beach cruiser from Walmart for under $100. I purchased a cheap Kent La Jolla for myself from them, and got a Kent La Jolla women's for my wife. Both were under $100, $98 I believe. For new, I'd go that route instead of buying used from someone.

Just checked, and the Kent is not available anywhere, but Walmart has a huffy, and it looks like they may have one at the Kitty Hawk store.

What is your price point? I bought two inexpensive bikes at Bikesdirect.com to bring down and leave in our outdoor lock closet. Didn't want to spend much on a beach bike. They are still holding up better than I expected.

Thank you both! Yes, a Walmart bike would be fine, and that’s a good price point.

I like the "Al won't rust" statements. Technically true, as rust is oxidation of iron and the like. Al corrodes. Theeth smiley
