As long as the drama is in place, sports will be on hold. It will cease come January, one way or another.

It only works if every follows the rules. Way too many people that think the rules don't or shouldn't apply to them, so here we are. It seems the only thing that will help here is a vaccine.

The bubble sports seems to be doing OK so far though.

That article has errors. The O’s and Yankees also had/have games impacted. The Yankees couldn’t play Philly and the O’s were supposed to play Miami. Great fact checking by the writer.

Sox fan since the days of favorites Ted Williams and Jimmy Piersall. And will always be my favorite team. But this year, i have no interest in watching a "made for COVID-19" season that is bogus and bush for numerous reasons. Just can it and look forward to 2021.

The piped in crowd noise is kind of strange. Now with the postponed games because of positive covid cases, it makes me wonder if they’ll get through the season.
It sure was great watching hockey again Thumbs up It’s hard to remember there was a season going on when crap hit the fan.

Read about the Tigers relief pitcher?

K K K K K K K K K HBP K BB (pulled)

Wow!

I don't know how to do a backwards K in case any were struck out looking. smiley

Also, when I learned to keep score HBP (hit by pitch) was RB (retired base).

Flipping thru channels, Phil’s down 3-1 vs Yankees. Team standings Phil’s 1 win, 2 losses, Yankees 7 wins, 1 loss. What?! How can this season even count for anything?
Oh, and the fan sound track is .... just silly.

It is to some degree about making a buck. Well, actually, it's all about making a buck.

I am a huge sports fan. But, when it comes down to it, it's just a diversion. Watching sports is no different than going to the movies.

Better for me to watch some game that I could care less about than watch COVID-19 news like I have been doing for the past five months.

Didn't Roosevelt believe that it was important that baseball be played during WWII?

Also, there are just so many times I can watch the same episodes of Frasier. smiley

Prior to the Covid Quarantine, I considered myself a huge sports fan.

Took the opening Thursday and Friday off for the NCAA tournament, rarely missed a Dodgers game on the east coast, had Sunday Ticket for every Vikings game, and loved European Soccer. Now I don't miss it. Watched an inning of last nights Dodger game from San Diego then ended up reading a book. Finding myself doing other things and not being trapped by a sports schedule.

I wonder if when we do return to normal how many of us will be gone permanently? Not saying I am, but certainly leaning that way, because this break has shown me a lot.

I feel the same way Bill. I've just lost interest in all sports. A lot of the fun has been removed from sporting events.

Watching that was pissing me off. They make it look so simple! I'm happy if I get it on the board!

Just curious. How many of the games do you attend. Is it a full season subscription of all games?

Typically, about 20, depending upon how late in the season they go. We control the block of four tickets we have in a section just behind the third base dugout. We have a group of about 8 other people that share the set. Each year, we use of draft of sorts to pick our most desired games. Some in the group pick less games, but still want to be able to secure these seats. We also get first dibs on post season. Theeth smiley My husband actually got to march in the World Series parade. I guess the Nats decided to reward his loyalty through the lean years!
