I heard this coming home today and it made me smile. I also still know the words and sang along (I may or may not have also been car dancing). In the 80's and 90's, I listened to mainly rap/hip hop, some rock, and some country. No Pop. But this song, and I don't even know how I heard it, it registered with me for some reason. I still have the cassette. It stands out with all my rap tapes and mixed tapes (some from recording off of radio and some from local artists). While listening to them with my son, he pulled out the DG and asked what this was. I told him he's not ready for that yet. He pulled out his phone and in 5 secs was playing it. Yup, he wasn't ready for that. He tried to embarrass me with it, but I told him I'd play it, sing it, and dance to it, while his friends were here. Never heard another thing about it.
Debbie Gibson - Only in my Dreams
My taste today is MUCH wider now, but this song still feels guilty.
Ok, one more. Not really guilty because I torment my son with it all the time, but I love the movie Grease. My wife does also. When it comes on, she'll sing Sandy's parts, and I'll sing Danny's parts. Again, not sure why, but this is the only musical I like. It might have something to do with ONJ being hot. Not sure.
Add your guilty pleasure. Doesn't have to be a song. Can be anything.
