New Christmas Display

I needed a new place to display my Christmas Village in our new home. So when you can’t spread out, you go up. The spot I had is in a corner so it will have to rotate too.

I figured out how much area I needed and that drove the design. I had an old motor from an outdoor animated deer that I saved some time ago. So I laid out the gears that fit in the base. It is perfect and takes ~ 2.5 minutes per revolution. It rotates on a 12” lazy susan.

The support up the center is 3” PVC. The power runs up the an outlet at each level. I was able to heat the outlet covers and get them to curve to match the pipe.

The base and the tower can be separated to make it easier to move it in to storage.

Thanks, this is my 5th one with moving and most likely my last. I had this built last winter and you would think that it would be easy to setup having done it before, but I have rearranged this one 3 times in less than a year and I can see more in the near future....

It is only 24 x 24 and I put in five 220V outlets and could use another one. Confused
