Tick tock! I’ve been waiting for some snow pics. It’s been ~40 and raining here all day. Miserable.

Here's a couple of crappy phone pics. I'll try to get more tomorrow. It looks like the snow god took pitty on us. Snow has pretty much stopped and radar seems to be clearing up. We're probably up over 8" now, but I don't think we'll get much more.

One more. Coby just wants to eat the snow.

Awesome. Does Coby leave the deck to do his business in the snow? A prior dog we had treated the deck like her toilet when snow was on it.

Laughing smiley That was our previous dog, Duke. Hated the snow. Coby is completely different. So far, he's gone down to do his business, but it's usually after chasing something (birds, deer, whatever). Tomorrow should be fun.

I'm not going to argue that. I'm not at all Irish, so I'll gladly defer to others here. I do know I like them. smiley I even have a special fancy pouring spoon from Guinness. Works well, but a regular table spoon works as well.

Well, now I know what beer I'm getting next...

Too much snow for me. I'm not a fan, but it will make for a very pretty, white Christmas.

WOW! We lucked out and only got around 8" and then it turned over to sleet. One of my neighbors (new to the area) started snow blowing last night. Rookie move. Now he has about an inch of sleet to move.

Two neighboring towns are reporting 9.3" and 10.1" on the news weather map at 7:30 AM. Going to snow most of the day, too. Easily will be over a foot. I hear a snow blower outside. I'll go out to deal with it when it stops later this afternoon.

Looked outside and someone hit the fire hydrant at the end of our driveway in the cul de sac. Pretty good lean to it from the angle I am viewing it. Most likely a plow backing up to do the end of the street. Called public works and the fire department and left messages. Called police dispatch since I wanted to talk with a person. He said that he'll also call public works.

Thank you for the pictures posted so far. While I'm sure it is no fun dealing with all of the weather, it sure is fun to see pictures of the beautiful snow. Mostly ice here in Charlottesville.

We got about 7 to 8 inches on Staten Island. It was a little bit heavy. It didn't seem to bother this guy in my neighbors yard across the street from me. I think someone has been feeding this guy spaghetti & meatballs. He's big. Deer in NYC. Who knew?

Jay, the Guinness on tap is the way to go, but the caned version will work, many years ago was in Ireland for a port call all but too short, Guinness and the pub brewed cider was awesome, we got too tossing darts eventually the pub master took the darts from us, said we were getting dangerous he was very decent about it. That was a very good time. Use a pilsner glass for the half and half the other thing is if you never had a room temp Guinness give it a go. In Germany also all brews are served room temp. at least when I was there.

Is that deer tagged or is that "1586" on a sign behind him?
