Both are currently over 600 Million and one is over 800.

What would you do if you won?

For me, I would have to give a lot of it away. For example, my wife and I endowed a Scholarship at West Chester University in memory of our daughter. I would cut a check to ensure that the $1,000 annual scholarship was raised immediately to cover all expenses.

Of course I would buy a new Truck for the Beach, but this is a lot of money!

Probably buy a handicap friendly home. Then I'd donate enough so the community library, swimming pool and newspaper in the little town where I grew up would be completely funded for years to come. And establish scholarships for all the kids there who wanted to go to college. The entire graduating class almost always totals less than 20. That amount of money would go a very long way in a place like that.

My wife and I have funded scholarships at Rutgers and Fairfield, respectively. Would fully fund them.

Would set up something I am thinking of also doing. Scholarships to Rutgers for students from the high school my dad attended. He was class of '37. Accepted to Rutgers, but didn't have money to attend. Had to go to work until WWII.

Move to SE CT.

When one of you win, this is a piece of advice I learned from a friend & co-worker that was one of the 3 winners of the $1.5B lottery a few years ago. The first mistake he made was to sign the ticket. He contacted an attorney that specialty is lottery winners. What he says to do is open a trust and put the trust name on the ticket. That way the trust goes public, not you. Unless you want hundreds of people asking you for everything you can imagine open a trust.

I'm going to make sure everyone that I'm close too and anyone who has helped me in someway becomes much more comfortable financially. There's a couple of people from my school days that will be included.

For me and my family, we're doing OK, so I'd just accelerate a couple of wants. I'd buy a house or property on the NC coast (probably further south than the Outer Banks). My wife and I would then probably retire and split time between NC and PA, which is kinda our plan anyway.

What’s that saying? You don’t know what you want until you see it? Yeah, now I want the mega yacht with helicopter and speed boat launching capabilities.

How much does something like that even cost? Could you actually afford that with 600 million in cash? It’s such a vast sum of money that I don’t even know what you can actually buy with it.

Edit: looks like you can buy the helicopter yacht for about 250 million? Nice.

Do not forget the taxes just about half of that to federal and state taxes, then the great democratic savior is going to clean your shorts every year. As to what I would do first, set up a endowment for the various children's hospitals, buy land every piece I could find they don't make that any more. Maybe a new Ford raptor, Take care of my family and stay very quiet about the rest.

Now back to the whish list, talked to my Marine Corps brother today we cut a deal if one of wins we are going to buy a ranch out west maybe South Dakota or Wyoming, hunt, fish and drink a few beers. But not to worry I will take the computer with me so I still communicate with all the beautiful folks here. I will still support the children's hospitals.
