Has anyone heard how the NPS on Hatteras will be enforcing Biden's new executive order / mandate requiring masks on all Federal Property?

Perhaps we could all go to the Lincoln memorial, or one of his press meetings and ask the red head, seems she is also exempt. Wake up folks it is now a do as I say not as I do situation.

I've read it, which is why I asked. It specifically states 'per CDC guidelines' which require masking when unable to distance. I can't think of any federal property on Hatteras where it's impossible to stay away from others, can you? Maybe if you're climbing the lighthouse or something but for the most part it's pretty wide open.

Ah yes, abiding by CDC guidelines is a terrible infringement on your rights as we are in the deadliest phase of the pandemic.

Might I remind you that CDC guidelines state masks should be worn outdoors when social distancing can not be maintained.

Here’s me at the beach last September.

It’s not hard to buy a surgical style mask that can be kept around your neck in case you find yourself in a crowd.

You should look into it.

I think we should go back to the bleach injection / UV light treatment that the stable genius proposed some time back. If only we had followed his wisdom then there would be no pandemic now.

Common sense says if there's no people there cannot be a pandemic

Of course not. The WHO took it down. But the WHO post is archived. It's in the link.

no where in the original WHO page that was used as a basis for your statement does WHO admit the PCR is a joke.
no where.

here (per FREEPRESS) is the archived page that they are using for their claim that WHO is admitting the PCR is a joke.

WHO Information Notice for IVD Users 2020/05
Nucleic acid testing (NAT) technologies that use polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for detection of SARS-CoV-2
20 January 2021 |Medical product alert |Geneva |Reading time: 1 min (370 words)
Español
Product type: Nucleic acid testing (NAT) technologies that use polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for detection of SARS-CoV-2
Date: 13 January 2021
WHO-identifier: 2020/5, version 2
Target audience: laboratory professionals and users of IVDs.
Purpose of this notice: clarify information previously provided by WHO. This notice supersedes WHO Information Notice for In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Device (IVD) Users 2020/05 version 1, issued 14 December 2020.
Description of the problem: WHO requests users to follow the instructions for use (IFU) when interpreting results for specimens tested using PCR methodology.
Users of IVDs must read and follow the IFU carefully to determine if manual adjustment of the PCR positivity threshold is recommended by the manufacturer.
WHO guidance Diagnostic testing for SARS-CoV-2 states that careful interpretation of weak positive results is needed (1). The cycle threshold (Ct) needed to detect virus is inversely proportional to the patient’s viral load. Where test results do not correspond with the clinical presentation, a new specimen should be taken and retested using the same or different NAT technology.
WHO reminds IVD users that disease prevalence alters the predictive value of test results; as disease prevalence decreases, the risk of false positive increases (2). This means that the probability that a person who has a positive result (SARS-CoV-2 detected) is truly infected with SARS-CoV-2 decreases as prevalence decreases, irrespective of the claimed specificity.
Most PCR assays are indicated as an aid for diagnosis, therefore, health care providers must consider any result in combination with timing of sampling, specimen type, assay specifics, clinical observations, patient history, confirmed status of any contacts, and epidemiological information.
Actions to be taken by IVD users:
Please read carefully the IFU in its entirety.
Contact your local representative if there is any aspect of the IFU that is unclear to you.
Check the IFU for each incoming consignment to detect any changes to the IFU.
Provide the Ct value in the report to the requesting health care provider.

I see the part where this release is to clarify information previously provided
I see they state to follow instructions for use (IFU)
I see Actions to be Taken
I don't see "it's a lie"

Greg, she needs smaller words.
Altman and Bland are medical statisticians who are widely cited for their methodology and expertise.
Let's see if this helps:

I am not on Hatteras specifically, I am in Duck, but go wherever in OBX and I will say everyone is wearing a mask. Even yesterday at Jennette's pier everyone fishing had one on. At Jockey's ridge, people pulled them up when other walked by. Literally in the past month I've only seen ONE man not wearing one and he looked very clearly homeless - he also had no shoes on at the hardware store. So if you don't wear one they might not say anything but they might spit in your food, LOL.

not quite the same as "the PCR is a lie"
if you have to "remind" users of something then it is not new news - it has been previously addressed
it also does not mean something is a lie
at least that's what the small words tell me

So why did the WHO take the post down? Because it proved what many have thought all along. The PCR test itself is not reliable without a clinical diagnosis and a possible retest of a different kind.

Ali, the wu flu is a virus, the common cold is a virus the different strains of the flu are a virus, have they ever went away ? How many millions of folks world wide have went under from those latter mentioned situations ? what would make one think that this one is going to be eradicated, the virus mutates continually whether it is the flu, wu flu or what ever else that may plague the population. It is here thanks to the Chinese commies, and come on man give me a break joe has no more a chance than a man in the moon of ridding us of it. It was released for a reason and the reason is world domination bye the Chinese they do not give a dam about their own people what makes one think hey care about all the rest of the worlds population. Shots, masking, social distancing may slow the spread but it will from now on be part of life.
