Have found New Penny and Camo colors work for me near shore behind first wave or two !!
Use smaller hook and different kinds of rigs or tie hooks directly to line.
Has helped grandkids get interested in surf fishing(along with sand flea capture and bait use) !!!

I usually just use the Fishbites and I always get a bag of real worms. Sometimes one does better then the other. I never tried the Berkley sandworm but I'll give it try on the next trip.
